Featured speakers include: U.S. Senator Ed Markey, U.S. Representatives André Carson, Ro Khanna, Eddie Bernice Johnson, Al-Green, Rashida Tlaib, Dr. James Zogby, James Roosevelt III (DNC), Nihad Awad (Council of American Islamic Relations Executive Director), Linda Sarsour (MPower Change), Melina Abdullah (Black Lives Matter), Anna Eskamani (Florida House of Representative), and others.

“With majority of the Muslims concentrated in the battleground states: Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and Texas, our vote can be the decisive factor for the outcome of the 2020 presidential elections. AMDC is working united with all Americans for the Democratic party to bring it home,” said Sarwat Husain, AMDC Co-Chair.

“We are proud to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the Democratic ticket. AMDC will do anything and everything possible to ensure a win for the 2020 presidential election”, said Syed Fayyaz Hassan, AMDC Co-Chair.

“As we celebrate our communities’ rise in politics, we must continue to speak truth to the power. We must continue to fill up the spaces we were once told we do not belong to. That is the only way we can echo our concerns and change the policies in this country,” said Hanieh Jodat Barnes, one of the founding members of the Women’s March Los Angeles and co-founder of the Muslim Delegates and Allies Coalition.

“This election we must mobilize like we have never done before to bring out the vote in November 2020,” said Nadia Ahmad, law professor and co-founder of Muslim Delegates and Allies Coalition.

“Our community is excited to join the team of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to be elected to lead the United States this November. It is time to have a unifier rather than a divider in the White House”, said Emad Salem, Committeeman Senate District 10, Texas State Democratic Executive Committee.
AMDC is a grassroots political advocacy group for the Democratic Party in the American Muslim community. Its mission is to provide leadership and to fully participate in the ongoing process of restoring America’s promise of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
